I would if I could but I can't

If time and money were of no importance, this is where I'd be on Monday night.

Alas, I'm not really in a position to jet off to NYC for a lecture.  In the spirit of vicarious living, I hope that some of you can make it!

The Last Supper

B and I just finished dinner with two of our dearest friends in NYC, compensation for helping us haul boxes and furniture out of our apartment. On the menu: a chocalate egg cream and fried pierogies with sour cream from Odessa.

I wish I had more to say on the matter, but right now I am pretty numb at the thought of this as my last meal as a NY resident. Tomorrow we pick up a moving truck and begin the westward journey to Minneapolis. I'll be gathering dispatches from the road and will keep you posted on the journey, the destination, and beyond. Sorry if that last sentence seems a little melodramatic, but it's fitting my present mood.
