The Last Supper
B and I just finished dinner with two of our dearest friends in NYC, compensation for helping us haul boxes and furniture out of our apartment. On the menu: a chocalate egg cream and fried pierogies with sour cream from Odessa.
I wish I had more to say on the matter, but right now I am pretty numb at the thought of this as my last meal as a NY resident. Tomorrow we pick up a moving truck and begin the westward journey to Minneapolis. I'll be gathering dispatches from the road and will keep you posted on the journey, the destination, and beyond. Sorry if that last sentence seems a little melodramatic, but it's fitting my present mood.

Safe travels! I'm sorry we missed your going away gathering. We had to do our own going away gathering with Billy's family.

i am going to miss you guys so much! come back for rhinebeck, ok? and for easter dinner? and knitting on sundays? shopping for eats on the lower east side won't be the same without having knitting at your apt to haul bialys, smoked fish and other goodness to. best of luck and much love! xo.

Oh yes - I second Valentina about life beyond NYC, outside our confines of EV/LES life.
But I do thank to all the lights in the sky for bringing us together in New York. You are all my inspiration and I love watching you all grow.
Pls keep us updated as you cross the country, a la Cari. I don't know much of middle America, sadly - so you both get to be my guide.

You will like Minneapolis and St Paul. Think of all the woolens you'll be able to knit without worrying about them wasting away in a drawer. It gets mighty cold up there.
